Day 4

Let me start by saying that day 4 was the morning that I weighed myself…. so the whole day felt pretty fantastic. 9 pounds in 17 days seems pretty awesome to me!

Cucumber Melon

  • Watermelon (about 1/2 a melon… it looked like it was getting wonky in my fridge so I used it all before it went bad.)
  • 9 cucumber
  • 15 Romaine leaves

This juice was so yummy! It looked really pretty in color, too. I figured if it smells that good at Bath & Body Works, it probably tastes yummy, too.

Green Lemonade

  • 2 apples
  • 1 cucumber
  • 4 kale leaves
  • 1 lemon
  • 9 romaine leaves

This juice was alright. Not my favorite, but not bad by any means. I think if I was to make it again I would add another lemon.

Carrot Apple

  • 9 carrots
  • 6 apples

I just really enjoy carrot juice. And mixed with the apple it is delish! This one is a nice easy one to make as well because both carrots and apples are high yield vegetables, so you get a lot of juice from them.

The bottom one is my cucumber melon drink. Pretty, right?

During the day I was on top of the world. Once I got home from work I started organizing and cleaning around my apartment and then got hit with this incredible hunger. But I honestly did not have the energy to make more juice at that point, haha. So I just went and laid down in bed. I swear, napping is my new hide-a-way from eating bad things.

It is impressive to me that 4 days have passed into this and I have yet to consume one solid piece of food. Not only anything bad for me, but any solid food at all. Not even a strawberry as I am going to juice it, even though they look up at me with their pretty red hair and millions of seedy eyes. I am hoping I can keep this up!

This was me, escaping the hunger in my bed haha.

I have been thinking and researching about these fasts and am getting a little nervous about most of the weigh coming back on. I know that some will come back, because of water weight, and the fact that you suddenly are eating real food again so the calories overwhelm your system.

I have not yet decided what plan I want to stick with once I am done with my 10 days. I definitely want to keep juicing as part of my healthy lifestyle. I want to do juice for breakfast still, and then salad for lunch and then a sensible dinner. I think the key to this all though is making sure I am getting plenty of exercise as soon as the fast ends. I am really not doing anything right now due to lack of energy and my system already being overwhelmed. But I think getting into the gym right away will be good. Another thing I am thinking is to ensure that I slowly work my way back up to my normal caloric intake. I don’t want to suddenly just start eating like normal again and cause my body to freak out and to lose all progress I have gained.

However, I am pretty sure as soon as this is over I need to eat pizza. And Greek French Fries. And ice cream. These are the things I am craving so badly right now! 😉

I am excited to keep going!
