Day 2

Day 2 for me was one of those days were you just wake up in a funk. I had a really bad headache (I miss my morning coffee, even though I have been 15 days without it!) and was having a hard time finding motivation.

Because of my lack of motivation, I just made mass quantities of two different juices and sipped on them as I felt like it throughout the day. 

Morning Glory Green Juice

  • 4-5 Kale leaves
  • handful of spinach
  • 3 romaine leaves
  • 1 cucumber
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 1 apple
  • 1 lemon

After I tasted it, it was completely nasty and tasted way too much like Kale. It was incredibly bitter. So I added a handful of pineapple to it, and it was then drinkable.

Carrot Orange

  • 4 oranges
  • 12 carrots

This was the same one that I made yesterday, but I made it in a big batch size.


My mood today was struggling. They say that days 3 and 4 of juicing are the hardest and that that is when most people quit, but last night I hit a rut. I had been cleaning and organizing my apartment and my storage unit and was feeling very productive. After about 6 hours of deep cleaning, I realized I was absolutely ravenously hungry. But not for juice. I wanted pizza, and ice cream, and Greek french fries.

So I took a nap. I decided that is going to be my go-to way not to make a terrible decision and eat something I shouldn’t, OR kill someone out of sheer frustration.

Juicing is hard because of the emotional swings along with everything your body is going through.


I really need to focus on drinking more water.
